Porthglaze is set back in a quiet country lane just off the A3074, which is the main road in to St. Ives. It is well before you reach the town's one-way system and is, therefore, easily accessible.

For guests arriving by train, the St Ives Branch line connects with the main London Paddington - Penzance railway line at St Erth and there are frequent services to the town's station where taxis are available. Alternatively, Porthglaze is about a mile from the station for those arriving with only light luggage, or 3 minutes by taxi.

National Express Coaches call at St Ives bus station with daily services from London, the Home Counties and the North of England. Taxis are available from the stand at the railway station or, again, a pleasant walk for those with light luggage who prefer to admire the stunning views back across the town.

Newquay (Cornwall) Airport is approximately 45 min distant with regular scheduled British Airways flights to London Gatwick, or Ryanair which operates a budget service to London Stansted. Taxis and car hire are available inside the airport terminal.

DIRECTIONS - Follow signs to St Ives. Turn left at Cornish Arms then immediate left again into Steeple Lane. Porthglaze is 400 / 500 yards on the left-hand side of the lane.

Plenty of safe, easy parking and Porthglaze has easy access into St Ives. If you prefer not to take your car, a taxi costs approx. £2.30 or walking time is approx. 10 mins.
